Wow, have things ever been crazy the last couple of weeks. Between the new job, the upcoming baby, catching up with friends in Vancouver, teaching at Vancouver Film School, spending time with family and the obligatory 8 hours of sleep every night, we’ve been completely taxed the last two weeks.

This next week should be the last of the total craziness and things should be back to normal until the baby arrives.

Three pieces of quick advice that I wanted to blog about, but never had a chance.

1. Owning a good bed. We just bought a decent bed (low-mid range Sealy). Now, mattresses are right up there with luggage as far as things I’m willing to spend good money on. A good bed makes a difference.

2. Friends. Moving back to the city has made it much easier to catch up with friends. A quick lunch downtown, getting together for a dinner or a couple of drinks in the evening. Living out in the boonies made me forget how important spontaneous hang-out sessions are.

3. TV. Heroes - good. Avatar - can’t wait for Season 3 to start. Dresden Files - jury is still out. 30 Rock - best new comedy. Legion of Super Heroes - waiting for it to find it’s legs. TiVO - means I never have to watch crap TV again.

In other exciting news - with my new job, I can actually blog about my thoughts on game design and development, marketing, cross media entertainment and the other thoughts that consume my days.
